Junior Staff Program

Junior Counselors:  The JC program is designed to give our girls their first taste of what “counselor life” is really like.  They join our staff for Pre-Camp staff training and help prepare camp by coming up with the theme for our bunks, activity groups, and banquet.  They plan and run the carnival, oversee the evening activities, and run the camp store.  The JCs are assigned to an activity area where they help facilitate and supervise the activity.  They are also assigned to a bunk to help out with the campers’ wake up and bedtime routines as well as rest hours.  The JCs live together in a bunk of their own where the Head of the Junior Staff supervises them.  They have an 11 p.m. curfew.

Counselor Assistants:  The CAs are seasoned junior staff and are ready for a bit more responsibility.  They live in the bunks with the campers and fellow co-counselors, and while always being paired with a cabin counselor they have the same bunk responsibilities as a their co-counselors.  The CAs help teach activities and are also supervised and supported by the Head of the Junior Staff.
