What should I do with my valuables while at camp?
While camp is a safe environment, we recommend that items like your cell phone, ipod and wallet not be kept in your bunk. Instead, these items should be kept in the office safe. You will have access to your belongings any time you need them.
What is the smoking and drinking policy?
There is NO smoking or drinking of alcoholic beverages on campgrounds. Any staff member found doing so will be terminated immediately.
Will I have cell phone, phone or internet access while at camp?
Cell phone service is not great on camp's grounds, but there are two pay phones available for staff use and a computer with internet access available for staff to use when they are not on duty.

If you are arriving to camp by plane, bus or train, please plan to arrive in Portland between 12 and 2pm on August 11th, 2013. Be sure to fill out the staff travel form and return to camp by July 15th.
How/when will I get my travel reimbursement?

Or, if you want to find your own directions, the address is:

I'm a vegetarian, will there be enough food for me?
Every meal will have a vegetarian option offered. However, because all campers must qualify for the Federal Free Lunch Program, we are unable to meet any other dietary requirements.
Will I have a night off?
All staff will have at least 2 nights off during the program. When it is your night off, you are off duty from 6pm - 2am, and must be back in camp by 12am and in your bunk by 2am. There are vehicles available for staff use during their nights off.
What's the camping trip like?
Every bunk will participate in one overnight trip. Counselors will accompany their bunk on the trip and additional counselors will be assigned to assist. The trip includes a short hike or canoe trip, camping out in tents, cooking over a campfire and visit a local organic farm. A structured itinerary is provided. If you're not an experienced camper, don't worry. Part of pre-camp involves preparing you for this overnight.
